I feel bad for all the animals on Japanese television, however they still do make me laugh. Also that really is amazing how that owl will use different defense mechanisms with different threats.
The best podcast on the internet, no hyperbole intended. I hope others listen to this great show by the one of the hardest working men in podcasting Robert Ashley. This episode even has Penn Jillette
and his great video game Penn and Teller's Smoke and Mirrors. Which if you did not know has a "mini" game called Desert Bus that consists of driving a bus that slowly as ut lists to the right. The game takes about 8 hours to go from Tucson to Los Vegas with not a whole lot going on in between besides the drift to the right and a bug hitting the window about 4 hours in.
Sure I'm on a Boat was funny for a while, but it sure got old quick. Now thanks to the folks at New Belgium Brewing we have a good parody of a semi-funny bit.
Here is a link to a cool little flash game called Fig. 8. I enjoy the music quite a bit it is a perfect soundtrack to a leisurely bike ride around an abstracted neighborhood.
Ah, Portland always going the extra mile when it comes to bicycle and beer related stuff. The Hopworksfiets design is inspired by Dutch cargo bikes, and fabricated by Metrofiets of Portland, for Hopworks Urban Brewing.
When these videos of European artistic cycling come out I am always amazed. This year at the European Junior Championship Indoor Cycling 2009 these two German ladies amaze me once again.
Wow, those Germans love to do crazy crap with bicycles the all time best is Radball aka Cycle Ball(I prefer Radball).I would like to give it a try, but I guess I should start out with something like Bike Polo.
I am a big fan of the comedy podcast "http://youlooknicetoday.com/" and I am super happy that some one created their idea for songparts.biz. If you couldn't figure it out it is a collection of the "best parts" of a songs and it is quite hilarious.
A speech written for Richard Nixon to be delivered in the event of the death of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong died during their historic voyage to the moon.
100% sincere post, no irony here. One of my favorite Hip-Hop songs ever By The Disco Three aka The Fat Boys. If you haven't see the movie this is from, then you should see it. The movie is Krush Groove and if features RUN-DMC, New Edition, and of course The Fat Boys.
The most intelligent piece I have ever seen from a FOX outlet. Jeff Frings is a new inspiration for me and he is doing a great service to the bicycle commuter community by helping to expose the dangers of the road to non-cyclists. It always amazes me how little the police often know of the laws they are supposed to enforce.
8-Bit Hip-hop medley. Would like to know who made this if anyone knows let me know.(edit) Turns out it was made by a guy named Tugboat, and apparently he is a mummy.
Lyle Lanley came came by my place of business looking for investors for an interstate hydrogen superhighway. For only $20,000 you can invest in cool looking photoshop mock ups and 1950's Popular Science concept drawings. I snapped some pictures with my phone that I have here but they have high resolution versions at their website.
I don't want to get to cynical about this, it does look cool. And if it were made I would ride it and and maybe even get an MRI while going to Chicago.
Last night the fellas from Hell Yes Clothing and the fixedgeargallery.com came through town with the Hell Yes Sprints.Armed with some nice track bikes on rollers and a laptop running Ubuntu Linux to keep score they offered Ann Arbor Cyclists to challenge each other to a 500m sprint.
My crappy cellphone Video of some of the event.
Much higher quality video from another attendee. djclimber7
This was a great event and fun was had by all. I wish them luck on the rest of their tour, and am eargerly awaiting their return on 2/23/2009. For more information check them out at http://hellyessprints.blogspot.com
An Interview with Tim and Eric, where they speak of the 'Awesome Show' spin off, 'Check It Out! With Steve Brule', touring and working with their"Non-Professional Performers". I enjoyed their discussion of the Jim and Derrik episode that mocks today's Non-Content Television.
